Ian Wilkie, A.C.A.
Ian Wilkie A.C.A. is the Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for Clarke Inc. In this role, he leads the Company’s finance function, directing Clarke’s financial reporting, treasury, tax, accounting, and budgeting activities.
Mr. Wilkie joined Clarke in early 2008 as Corporate Controller, when he was responsible for the Company’s public financial reporting, and led Clarke’s teams implementing Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and the transition to International Financial Reporting Standards.
Prior to joining Clarke in 2008, Mr. Wilkie spent six years as the Director of Enterprise Consulting Limited in Bermuda, where he worked with a range of clients on financial reporting and corporate finance projects, assisting with transition and ultimate financial reporting of investment portfolios totaling over $4 billion for one client alone. He also assisted with internal control review and implementation under Sarbanes Oxley.
For two years previous to that position, Mr. Wilkie undertook the roles of Assistant Financial Controller and then Financial Controller at Bacardi Capital Ltd. in Bermuda, where he was responsible for all financial reporting of the group treasury for the Bacardi Group of companies, with assets of approximately $10 billion. He was responsible for development and implementation of all internal controls and procedures, and had overall responsibility for all group foreign exchange issues, as well as for all cash management and forecasting of the Bacardi Group, with net cash flows of around $500 million per annum in 25 different currencies. In addition to these roles at Bacardi, Mr. Wilkie was Director of the McD Global Balanced Fund and was responsible for all financial reporting aspects of three group pension plans.
He has also served a range of clients at a public accountancy firm in Bermuda.
Ian Wilkie holds a Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Sheffield University, England, and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
